Professor Mattiace took advantange of the video conference facilities to add a new twist to her Political Science 261 U.S.-Latin American Relations course. She and the students participated in a nation-wide video program dealing with how the media has affected US Cuban Relations in the forty years since the Cuban Missle Crissis.
The program sponsored by the The Museum of Television & Radio, New York City featured a live discussion by a panel with opportunities for participating colleges to phone in questions for discussion. The program was part of the University Satellite Seminar Series that the Museum organizes and funds.
Professor Mattiace is not the first professor at Allegheny to take advantage of this series offered by the Museum at no charge to the participants.
