Common WebCT Log In Problems

There are two common log on problems users experience with WebCT. The most common is using the incorrect password. The second is not having your browser configured properly. This tutorial will help you through these two most common problems.

What is my password?

Your default WebCT password is different from your Allegheny Email password. If you do not know your default WebCT password you should contact the Computing Help Desk at 2755 and they will assist you.

If you know your default WebCT password but it is not working, the quickest solution is to make a request to have your password reset. You must make this request in person at the Computing Help Desk. Please bring your student ID card when making this request.

I know my password but nothing happens when I click the log in button.

This is indicative of not having your browser configured properly. Most likely you have disabled cookies which are necessary for WebCT to log in users. You can enable cookies by changing your browser settings.
